Purple Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis) from Vietnam is a premium tropical fruit valued for its deep purple rind, aromatic pulp, and distinctive sweet–tart flavor. Known for its intense fragrance and vibrant golden-orange juice sacs filled with edible black seeds, this variety offers high juice content and strong flavor concentration. It is naturally rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin A, dietary fiber, and antioxidants, supporting immunity, digestion, and overall wellness.
Purple Passion Fruit is cultivated in Vietnam’s Central Highlands and northern mountainous regions, particularly in Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Dak Nong provinces, as well as Son La in northern Vietnam. Fertile basalt soils, favorable tropical to subtropical climates, and balanced rainfall contribute to an excellent sugar–acid ratio, strong aroma, and consistent fruit quality. Modern cultivation practices and proper post-harvest handling ensure export-grade standards and reliable supply for international markets.
Vietnamese Purple Passion Fruit is available year-round, with peak harvest typically from May to October. Staggered planting and controlled production systems support continuous availability for domestic and export demand.
