Sindhura Mango (Mangifera indica) from India, also known as Senthoora Mango, is a popular table mango variety valued for its attractive reddish blush skin, juicy pulp, and pleasantly sweet flavor with mild tanginess. Known for its medium to large size and vibrant appearance, Sindhura mango is widely consumed in domestic markets and supplied to select export destinations. It is a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and antioxidants, supporting immunity, skin health, and overall wellness.
Sindhura (Senthoora) mango is primarily cultivated in the southern states of India, especially in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Favorable tropical climates, well-drained soils, and established orchard management practices contribute to consistent fruit size, good color development, and reliable seasonal production.
Sindhura mango is generally available from May to July, with peak harvest during June, making it a prominent mid-season mango variety in southern India.
Fresh Consumption: Widely consumed fresh and appreciated for its juicy texture, balanced sweetness, and attractive red-blushed skin.
Industrial Processing: Suitable for pulp extraction and juice blends, though primarily preferred as a table variety.
HoReCa & Culinary Uses: Used by hotels, restaurants, and catering services for fresh fruit platters, desserts, smoothies, and seasonal menu offerings.
