Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) from Vietnam is a premium temperate fruit valued for its bright red color, natural sweetness, mild acidity, and refreshing aroma. Known for its attractive appearance, firm texture, and juicy flesh, Vietnamese strawberries are increasingly recognized in domestic and regional export markets. Rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, dietary fiber, and essential nutrients, strawberries support immunity, skin health, and overall wellness.
Strawberries in Vietnam are primarily cultivated in Da Lat (Lam Dong Province), known for its cool climate, fertile soils, and highland growing conditions. The region’s temperate weather, consistent rainfall, and modern greenhouse cultivation techniques contribute to uniform fruit size, vibrant color development, and reliable quality suitable for fresh markets and food service supply.
Vietnamese strawberries are mainly available from November to April, with peak harvest between December and March. Controlled cultivation methods allow extended availability to meet domestic and export demand.
Fresh Consumption: Widely consumed fresh for fruit platters, retail packs, desserts, and healthy snacking due to their natural sweetness and appealing color.
Industrial Processing: Suitable for strawberry purée, jams, preserves, juice blends, syrups, frozen strawberries, bakery fillings, and confectionery applications.
HoReCa & Culinary Uses: Highly preferred by hotels, cafés, bakeries, and catering services for cakes, pastries, smoothies, milkshakes, desserts, and gourmet presentations.
Strawberries from Vietnam stand out for their vibrant color, balanced sweet-tart flavor, firm texture, and high antioxidant content. With strong cultivation practices and favorable highland conditions, they offer consistent quality and growing export potential for fresh retail and value-added food applications.
